“Joey” is a beautiful mahogany bay with just the right amount of chrome to make him stand out in the ring. In 2007, Joey was Grand National Champion Carriage Pleasure Driving Working Single Sec A, and Reserve Grand National Champion Dressage Driving Intermediate Level Finals. He was also Grand National Champion Arena Carriage Driving Preliminary Level Finals, as well as third in the World Champion Carriage Pleasure Driving Singles. That same year, he was in six driving classes at the Morgan Medallion Regional, resulting in five Blues and a Reserve Championship. He also earned two blues and three reds at the Santa Cruz Morgan Show that year.
The Son of a World Champion English Pleasure horse and one of the last daughters of the great sire Trophy, Joey is stunning to look at and has the heart of a true show horse. This is one of the best young Morgan carriage horses in the world today. He has been home since his 2007 winning season. Now and then I have hitched him for a drive and it's like old times. He is gentle, flashy, with that unmistakeable Morgan road trot--a real head turner.
Unfortunate circumstances lead me to part with my friend. If you are looking to win in carriage driving or CDE, this wonderful gelding is the horse to take you there. He was trained by my friend, the Queen of Carriage Driving Morgans, Cathy Grimes. Due to the sale of my carriage and harness, I have no video, but I will try to make one as soon as possible. Many of you know this horse and have long admired him. Now you can own him for a very reasonable asking price of $10,000 or your best offer.
